an ode to flowers

The dahlias have been popping and my goodness, how are they a real thing? How are flowers not always being talked about for their magic and impossibility? Take an itty bitty fleck of a seed or ugly tuber, bury it, then this? Between flowers and the fact that dinosaurs used to exist, I could sit silent in a state of wonder all day if somebody didn’t snap me out of it regularly by asking for a snack or telling me I needed to get dressed and go to work 😂
