dried flowers + old baskets

First batch of homegrown and dried gomphrena is ready for next spring at the shop. So much more to harvest and hang. I found this basket recently hidden under a pile of things at a very small local secondhand shop in town. Apparently, it was not for sale and the owner did not want to let it go. She then remembered that I had purchased another item from her a couple years prior and asked if I still had it. I told her absolutely, that I had promised them then that I'd never get rid of it, and that it currently sat proudly on top one of my kitchen shelves. She visibly eased, and offered me the basket. It's unlike any other I currently have at home and I will cherish it forever. Do you see the happy birthday message on the side?
