goodbye summer + hello autumn mantle

I was feeling a little under the weather these last few days, but nothing that had me stuck in bed. So, with sweatpants on and tissues in hand, I decided to bring in the new season to our living room. I had purchased these old charcoal drawings from my favorite antique spot months ago specifically for this, which is a miracle because I not one to plan ahead successfully. They were only $17 a piece and not copies, so I knew I needed to take them home (I plan to properly frame when they come down). I added a second old mirror (another antique store find that I got on a 50% off weekend a long time ago) and some stacks of old books that are a mix of my grandmothers diaries, and some very old editions from a barn clean out years ago. Our giant Sycamore (that we lovingly call Syd) dropped one little branch for me this season, and it was the perfect fit for this Autumn mantle.  This is my favorite color scheme, so naturally, Fall is my forever favorite.
