little bowls + precious moments

I had a new stoneware colander to photograph for Salt Creek Mercantile and my six year old, Winnie, wanted to take a photo. We picked the tomatoes from our jungle like kitchen garden, she styled it, and insisted my hands should be in the shot. She posed me, instructed me to not move with the intensity I give when trimming her bangs, and snapped her picture. Her smile at seeing how pretty it turned out made my week. She also insisted we keep this calendar for our kitchen. I think she's on to something.
